the email wasn't just forwarded, it was added to it too. He got his solicitor and he should use it. He breached the orders many times and by the way no need to pass those emails as they were already sent to me for the very same reason. And just to confirm, the police here is corrupt and I had to go to another police station in Brisbane, as the report was not even finalised/looked at or sent as they said it was. I am not holding my breath with all these laws that do not protect aggrieved. The comments were made and they should not be there, as it was obvious I received the same email.

Keep taking screen shots & reporting...

Keep a record of the reports (station, time, dates, officers name) so that you can show police complaints if they continue to do nothing

today I went to the police station and gave them evidence of the messages he sent me. They want me to give them my phone to extract the evidence that way. I am quite confused. Can they really take my phone and intrude into my privacy? Do I need a lawyer to give me some advice?

Innocent until proven guilty. The other angle is - if you've got nothing to hide.... Nope they can't take your phone. BUT you can offer it to help save you from the menace of this bloke... If maintaining posession of your phone is more important to you then protecting your safety, then I reckon you need to review your thinking...
So I'm working on the nothing to hide. BTW the cops are not gonna be interested what ever your phone might have, not unless it contains child porn or links to the Taliban. So let them have the phone so they can verify the messages. Sorry, but if you want to complain to the cops that the ex has intruded into your life, then you need to rely upon the cops to investigate. Unless, you reckon they should just take you as gospil... So you say this bloke intruded into your life - hence the cops should put him away? But they can't validate that information to make sure it is 100% correct? Maybe you're stitching him up? Maybe it was maybe... But cops and courts need more than maybe. Hmmm Better to see 100 guilty men go free than see one innocent man get hanged.

I understand what you just said. Does it mean his phone should be taken to the police station and looked at? I have nothing to hide, and never had, but without my lawyer present, I am not really happy to give them my privacy away. And I certainly not a threat or have any child porn or any sort of crime for that matter.

Ok so the porn and taliban was exagerration.
Hmm - So the cops should be allowed to interupt his day - and his privacy to go through his phone? Should he have the right to say HELL NO, you can't go through my phone?
Should he have to cop the expense of insisting on having his solicitor present?
So that sounds like he is guilty until proven innocent and the assumption of guilt is based on evidence that you have in your posession but refuse to give to the cops?

Sorry - but if it matters to you that much then let the cops see the evidence so they can do their job. OR stop whinging about this bloke because you're not prepared to do what is necessary to get the cops to act. OR pay $500-$1000 to have a solicitor come with you.

I agree.
The cops need to make sure that what you show them is not doctored and not made up. If they act on made up evidence and the fact that you provoked the other side, they will get into trouble too. Either total transparency, or stop using the police as your attack dog. They are there to protect all of us from harm, not the ones that may be complicit in it...

So, I have no problems with giving my phone, just concerned. He is an ex-officer, and every time I would report him or charge him with an assault, would go nowhere. I survived a lot worse than just corruption in the police force, but that is my life story, I am not afraid of anyone but God. He has other charges, such as drugs, and so on. He definitely, has something to hide. I am not considering myself a victim any more, just continues survivor, who learned that there is no justice in this system and I have to stay calm and wait and see. I wasn't exaggerating when I said about the corruption, just so you know, and nun of my reportings reached him, and I didn't complain, just went to a different police station to find that out, the police station that has no idea who he is, just for me to find out that they did nothing so far. Now you know the whole picture and why I don't trust them with my possessions. I have valid reasons not to trust anybody, and especially police that supposed to protect me and my kids. I don't judge you or the bloke who things I am playing on victims card. I am not. I am just tired of this torture and so-called "justice" in place. I am standing strong. I will continue living my life as normal as it could be. I have work to do. Fortunately enough, I am an essential worker who takes care of the mentally ill, my profession helped me to be strong and resilient, I will continue on, but this time I am going to consult my lawyer as my trust for the justice here was broken many times.

Thanks for your thoughts and insight in my matter, much appreciated.
