In South Australia, there is a legislation called the Spent Convictions Act. Spent convictions are those in which either no conviction was recorded, or a specific time has elapsed without re-offending. I believe it is an offence for Police to reveal spent convictions.

My question is this: would a spent conviction show up on any police check for employment or volunteering? The offence in question had no conviction recorded some 20 years ago.
