My ex partner is currently serving time for child sexual assualt. Not of our children. He will be on the registry when he gets out.
We had orders in place before he went to jail. Do these orders automatically carry on?
What are the rules he has to abide by and can I say no to him taking them?
Happy for him to see them in the company of his family. I'm not happy with him taking them on his own.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do the orders automatically carry on?
YES.
BUT - if he went to jail for fraud, drink drive, break and enter then my advice would be different.

BUT - because it is something that puts him on the child protection registery my answer to the first question changes to NO... Based on the detail you've provided, which is not much, I would imagine you could refuse contact and if the ex wants to he can pursue that through court.
