Hi S.camp4565.
I didn't realise when I replied to you yesterday that the amount involved was over $90, so you probably will get a call from Police (Police have access to a 'White Pages' for mobile phone numbers). I wouldn't stress too much because if you don't have any history apart from traffic offences you have a good chance of getting a Section 10. I wouldn't take the risk of pleading guilty in writing though. I'd appear in Court on the date of hearing and plead guilty there, in person, if that's what you want to do. They have Duty Solicitors in Court who will speak for you if you discuss the matter with them first and tell them how you want to plead. It's no big deal really. Walk up to the Bar Table when your name is called, the Magistrate will ask you why you did it and you simply tell him why, be apologetic, grovel a lot, and the chances are you'll get a Section 10. Most Magistrates are pretty reasonable, but, like everyone else you can get one who got out of the wrong side of the bed, so, if he/she is in a #@^+ mood on the day, chances are they'll convict everyone who pleads guilty in writing, but, if you rock up, plead your case, show remorse AND DONT SHOW UP WEARING T-SHIRT AND THONGS, chances are you'll get that Section 10. A Criminal conviction can really screw up your life in years to come in lots of ways; jobs, relationships, travel, etc, etc, etc. Good luck.
