So I’m in Ajman and we mostly deal with electronics accessories, nothing huge but the returns we’ve been getting because of minor scratches or dings during shipping are starting to pile up in a way that’s actually making me lose sleep. I know we could just bubble wrap everything to death but then we’re wasting time and materials and honestly the guys in the warehouse start getting sloppy when they’re rushed. Been reading up on practical advice for better product handling and saw this whole breakdown about matching packaging to the actual journey the product takes rather than just wrapping everything the same way, which sounds smart but also feels like another thing to manage. I guess what I’m really trying to figure out is whether it’s worth training the team to handle certain items differently based on size or value, or if I should just bite the bullet and get some foam inserts made custom so there’s no guesswork involved. Anyone here running a similar operation in Ajman that found a middle ground between too much packaging and not enough? Appreciate any thoughts before I drive myself crazy overthinking this.
