Hi I'm new to this form and would appreciate some legal advice, my ex and I both have 5 year protection order against each other, this has prevented me from time with the children.
My mother has just joined as a party and the other side is contesting it.
Where in the legislation does it say that the children that children have rights to see there granparents?

I'm quoting from the family law act

  • What the effect might be on the children if there was a change to their living arrangements, including being separated from siblings or other important people in their lives.
  • Whether the parents or other people (such as grandparents) can provide for the children, including meeting their emotional and intellectual needs.
