Someone had attempted to steal approximately $300 worth of groceries at woolworths abs was stopped at counter and asked if had a receipt for items. The person said it was in the car and left and didn't return. What will happen?
What could happen? Prosecution for stealing.
What will happen? Probably nothing... because the employee will be
too scared to admit their mistake in letting you get away.
