Hi - would appreciate thought on this please - I am stressing out a lot!!

I recently went through a phase of ordering fun videos through the various freelance type websites from people around the world. Nothing offensive at all, just silly pranks (pies in faces, acting skits, dancing, modeling, whatever). No nudity, and nothing sexual.
I don't know why really - was something kinda noval about receiving videos from around the world I suppose.

Anyway - all good, until the most recent video I received while on holiday in Asia. I watched it and considered there was a chance that the person who made the video was under 18. I asked the direct question, to which she replied that she was indeed under 18 - she was 16 and that was why she "would only make appropriate videos".

Similar to the other videos, there is nothing at all sexual, nude, anything really in the video - in fact almost the opposite, she was modelling and talking about an outfit she had recently bought.

Of course, I immediately cut off contact (I hadn't downloaded the video anyway and no longer have access to it) - but I am now terrified that I have inadvertently purchased a video from a 16 year old. Of course in retrospect I should have checked first - but I kinda assumed everyone on the sites would be over 18 (I have since checked and apparently you only need to be 13 to have an account which seems ridiculous!!).

My question - is this a crime? I am beating myself up a lot about it and feel physically sick/can't stop thinking about it. I can't immediately see how it is (as there is nothing inappropriate in the video) - but I still hate the thought of what has happened.

Based solely on your post and not having actually seen the video - I suspect you're OK.

Your anxiety will slowly dissipate over the next few months ...

Don't worry about it. The girl's parents should be more concerned than you.

With that said though, be very careful. Nearly anything can be classed as pornography these days - especially when minors are involved.
