Hi. I am trying to obtain a passport for my daughter. We have a history of family violence and our intervention order expired one month ago after 2 years. I was unable to renew the intervention order as the court said since he hasn’t done anything wrong ( not hit us ) for a while they won’t extend the order. My daughter is 2.5 years old and never been with her father he lives over seas now and is not an Australian citizen but he is on her birth certificate I am trying to get a passport for my daughter to go on holidays but he has refused to sign the parent signature form. Does anyone know am I able to sign this without him since he is not a citizen? He does not want us to have a happy life and move on.

Sorry I meant to say hadn’t been with her father since the intervention order was placed 2 years ago.
