During the course of my daughter's criminal matter the police handed her an "agreed facts' document to sign. It was just typed on a blank piece of paper. It was outlining forensic tests that the police said they performed on a firearm. It wasn't typed on any official police stationary or contained any signatures. She did not sign it as we were aware that the facts were not true.
Also she received a Ballistic Report that simply identified the make and model of the firearm and stating 'in working order'. This again had no official letter head. It was also not signed. Would these documents be accepted as valid court evidence? As far as I can make out anyone could type these up. thankyou
