Firstly, thank you for the help you are providing us all on this forum. My situation is perhaps unique in the way that the suspect in a Brisbane resident but I am in the US.
I have been a victim of continuing harassment from a Queensland resident, an Australian national. We met this lady and her husband a total of two weeks in Phuket, Thailand and we attempted to help them out by bringing them into my project but quickly we realized they were trouble so we stopped completely the relationship. Since then, early June of 2020, she began engaging in sending numerous threatening emails from newly created accounts, it is only in the past months she is sending email from her iCloud.com account copying anyone involved directly or indirectly in my project. Her claim has no bases. She claims we stole 7,200 euros from her however, this money was never in our possession and was paid directly from her to an IT company in Latvia. The codes developed up to that amount was released back to her after she demanded it. We never used any of her codes and this confirmed by the IT company but she has not stopped waging a digital war against me, my family and our company.
Our lives have been deeply and negatively affected by this unstable individual’s continuous attempt to bully us in every way shape or form. We have engaged in an attorney in NYC and proceeded to send her a cease and desist letter. We have filed a report against her with the Australian esafety office, subsequently we have contacted icloud abuse department and also filed a report along with the other hosting services she has been using. We have filed reports against her with the Cyber Harassment office of Australia. We plan to file a police report in Queensland. We need to better understand our rights in Australia. Our wish is to put a restraining order on her actions as she is actively threatening to visit us and pay people to hurt us.
Is this possible? What is the process? Costs? Time?
She is contacting all business associates and anyone associated with our company. She has made a promise to us to destroy our reputation no matter the cost and she will not stop! She has already caused irreparable damages to my reputation with financial dire implication. We have kept a very good record of all incidents, emails and documented all aspects of the case.
Does anyone have recommendations or a path that would lead to a successful filing of a restraining order? Thank you again. Alexander
