Hi there. I was just wondering if producing a false id to visit someone in prison in Victoria is an imprisonable offence? If or when a person is caught doing this, what would the maximum penalty be?

Check the Corrections Act however probably only attract a fine.

As others have said, yes it is an offence.

You realise that any identification that you make will be immediately detected right?
