My wife left me in January and returned to the house today and broke and took a lot of things without my permission. Is she aloud to do this? I would have been quite happy to give her most of the things if she asked.

- Is the property in your name or both names?
- Given 12 months is yet to pass since your wife left you, I assume that you or your wife have not applied for divorce. That said, have you discussed separation of assets (including those taken by your wife earlier today)?
Sorry should have explained this;
Property in both names she moved out in January taking my son (14years) without my consent 275km from me.
We have only discussed property settlements not personal belongings.
Also in the rear of the piano she took today was $3500 cash I had hidden where do I stand with that ?
There has been no discussion on divorce yet but I have been paying all the repayments on the home since she left she has refused to pay anything.
