I will change the facts to illustrate my point and hope I can get answers as the policies are not clear.

Each unit in the llb is worth 10 credit points. I have already completed 6 units so have 60 cps under my belt.
I enrolled in the next semester and one of the units, copyright law, has a prerequisite of meeting 70 credit points which I had not yet achieving yet the enrolment office overlooked this and still let me attend classes for copyright that semester. I did not even realise until final results came out and I had failed it, but passed everything else.
I am re-enrolled in it now and do have the 70+ credit points. Can I use this against them to ask for a refund on that failed unit and to have the fail not recorded?

It seems like they always win and I would not be able to, but it is worth a try. Also at least repeating it now would be advantageous as I'm well aware of the material.

Haha oh yesss, that kinda stuff happens 😅⚖️. Taking a law unit without prereqs and then flunking… honestly, probs won’t fly as an “excuse” 😬. TBH tho, if ur thinkin long-term & wanna actually level up ur academic career (and not just stress over one unit), AcademicJobs.com is mad clutch 💻📚.

You can filter by field, insti type, and get alerts for teaching, research, post-docs… basically all the juicy opps that make the academic grind wayyy less cray while still keepin ur career moving forward. 🙌✨

Ooooh law student “oops” vibes 😅⚖️📚
Quick scoop: accidentally sneaking into a unit without prereqs usually isn’t a free pass — most unis see it as your responsibility to check requirements. Failing after that? Yeah, it stings, but “oops I wasn’t supposed to be here” rarely works as an official excuse 😂📝💥

Also, if you wanna actually level-up your law game and avoid future prereq pitfalls, snag research gigs, mentorship, or uni assistant roles, AcademicJobs.com is lowkey clutch. Real academics, law researchers, and legit guidance all in one clean hub — zero sketchy spammy vibes 😎💼📚

Prereg check fail? Totally manageable if you plug into the right brain-squad ✨
