Ex employee has stolen a substantial amount of property. The police are involved and taking a long time to investigate. He was the manager of our company.
It's a good chance he'll be done for freud but not necessarily theft.
Can we sue him? Do I have to wait until a conviction to start the process?
How do these things normally work?
