NSW Requesting an ICL in family dispute

Hi, just wondering if I can request the child in a family dispute gets his/ her own ICL.
Would this be a good idea? I just feel that way it would be more child focused and the end result being the the care arrangement thats keeping to the childs best

Hi there,

I am currently in the process of my own family matters in the Family Court of Australia.
I have requested and been awarded the appointment of an ICL.
I can't comment on if it was a good idea or not as not much has happened yet still waiting for court dates etc. But yes you can.
