I was wondering of anyone could offer some help in regards to practical protections that could be put in place to help ensure safety of a small child during visitations.
At this stage there are regular hair follicle testing and a home breatho system for before pick up.
Neither have been much of a deterrent to date.
The court has asked for participation in outside programs such as drug and alco counselling, patenting courses, ongoing mental health care etc and there's been no engagement..
Obviously main issues include heavy drug and alcohol use, including while the child is present as well as child being left at drug houses and all the other fun things that come with heavy drug use including the dealers and associates and their activities. Abuse of mental health meds and zero interest in any care which has led to psychosis from mild to extreme levels at different times. Child displayed signs of s.abuse for months and recently started to verbalise as such. Smaller things such as no use of car restraints or following food intolerant diet.
There are no services stepping in and it's exceptionally hard to get the evidence the court needs to see. Not exactly the types to invite us in to take photographs.
I'd really appreciate any help of anything we could put forward in upcoming orders to help me sleep at night and something that is tangible that they might actually be inclined to follow to help keep this poor little kid safe.
