Paid in full unfortunately
Instead of building the deck himself he contracted some guy and his kids to build my deck
Deck is poorly constructed and unsafe
Skirt isnt aligned properly
Decking boards not spaced or aligned properly
Decking board joins meet between joist with no screws instead of safely being screwed into joist
For 90mm boards standard is 5mm gaps
Gaps range between 2mm all the way to 15mm
Flashing is incomplete
They disconnected the plumbing pipes from our kitchen and didnt reconnect it or inform us so the downstairs area flooded
Decking screws all uneven and poorly executed
Ie some screws 3/4 deep other screws 2mm above boards sticking out
Some screws missing
Random holes in boards
Theres more ....
So the main builder keeps telling me he will come to inspect
He never shows up
Organised 3 appointments for him to inspect
He just ghost me
Now he wont answer the phone at all
He refuses to provide receipts for all the payments i made ..
He was meant to credit me since they decided not to replace the ballister that was in the qoute
Now his refusing to credit me and wont answer
What are my options here please?
