Hi all, I just want to know what rights you have when you are being investigated for a claim. Do they have the right to look through your phone? Such as messages, photos, and how about your email etc.
What normally happens if you are asked to be interviewed, will they make you show your personal things like that??

'Rights' when it comes to an insurance claim is tricky - because you often give certain consents and permissions in the insurance contract. For example, you have have agreed that the insurer can investigate a claim and that you will provide all reasonable assistance to allow them to do so. You're also asking them to do something - approve a claim. They may have 'rights' to deny the claim if you don't provide the assistance.

They have no right to go through your phone,
They sent police with a search warrant, they can only get what you give them apart from medicle records ect!
