a person sold a car that was supposedly in good condition, minutes after receiving it the Check engine light came on, I took it to the mechanic and the car needs an engine change and other things, the seller lied to me about the condition of the car , took advantage of the fact that I do not speak English very well, the value of the repair is almost equal to the value of the car, what can I do to get my money back or to have him answer for the car repair?

Hi Erika, take them to VCAT (if you are in Victoria). Or first see a solicitor and send a letter of demand threatening that, unless they do certain things such as full refund etc.
