Hi,

Couple of months ago I bought a used car from a dealer in Victoria, there is no warranty given by the dealer and he did a Road Worthy.

I now see engine oil leaking and when I took to a local mechanic he said a few components are wornout and hence oil leaking and he said it is not something which could have happened in 2 months. Half of the engine oil is already leaked out.

When I went to the dealer, he said he cant do anything as the car was checked and was sold with Road Worthy.

How can a car given road worthy have so much faults, a few components leaking oil is something which should have been checked in road worthy and the dealer must have repaired it before selling.

He sold it saying the car is in a good condition. Do I have an option to lodge a compliant with the consumer victoria? Will I get a full refund or atleast get the dealer to fix the issues?
