My flatmate is not paying rent properly. I asked him to move out and gave him 3 days notice (Friday)
because rent is not cover for the next week. I said, I'd be happy to donate $150 that he owes me on the rent ( by phone message).
At the day, he moved out while I was not at the place (Saturday) and he took my belongings with him. I went to the police. I have proof. I got 90% of my belongings back ( Sunday-Monday). Due to his ungrateful attitude, I would like to get my money back which I said in the past I am happy to donate $150. Is there a cooling period that applies for donations?
Is it possible to do so ? Please help.
