If I am de facto on my wife's visa and we have separated but there are children involved, does that mean that the Immigration would be lenient, given there are children involved or will they cancel my visa and will it mean I would have to seek a new sponsor to stay in Australia?

Hi,

Yes, you would need to seek a new sponsor and I think you will find they won't be lenient regardless of children being involved.
