Hello everyone.

My fiancé and I are planning our wedding for next spring, and our families have been pushing us to consider legal protections beforehand. We both have some assets and small business interests, so it feels like a serious conversation.

After researching, I came across the importance of Orange County prenuptial agreements and how they can protect both parties in the event of a divorce. But I'm unsure? Does getting a prenup create distrust in a relationship? How enforceable are they locally, and what should we realistically include?

Any personal experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I faced a similar dilemma with my partner. A prenup can provide clarity and protect both parties’ assets, which is sensible if you both have significant interests. While some fear it may cause distrust, it often fosters open communication. Our discussion over a favorite sapphire necklace from Oath Jewelry was a small step that emphasized trust. Consulting a local attorney for specifics in Orange County would also be wise.
