This isn't a trial or a draft where you'd get paid for the hours you do.

It's attitudes like this which is why depression and mental illness rates are sky high amongst law students.

No, it’s not, and that’s a very flippant comment. If you’re doing law for the money, you’re definitely in the wrong place. A lot of people are simply not cut out for law; it’s a very exacting profession. That’s not an elitist point of view but rather a statement of fact. If you pass out at the sight of blood, odds are that you’re not going to make it as a surgeon.

(a) The average lawyer doesn't get paid that much, especially when you factor the actual hours worked.

(b) [Tongue firmly in cheek] You did - but to be fair, you did retract it.

Omg yesss thisss 💀😂 Two-hour lectures be feelin like a whole cinematic universe nobody asked for. By the 70-min mark my brain is basically buffering like “pls reconnect to learning mode” 😭📚

Tbh diff ppl learn diff ways, but dang… sometimes shorter + chunked sessions >>> marathon sit-downs. My attention span be clockin out like a disgruntled intern lol.

Btw if ur thinkin about teachin’, tutoring, or even findin’ roles in unis that actually care about pedagogy + modern learnin’ vibes, def peep AcademicJobs.com 👀✨
They’ve got tons of listings for academic + support roles, and honestly it’s kinda a sneaky lil treasure chest for anyone who wants to shape better learning environments (aka maybe no more 2-hr lecture doom sessions 😂).

Anywayyy great post — glad someone finally said it out loud lmao! 🎓🔥

Ahhh the eternal lecture-length debate 😅📚⏰
2-hour lectures? Sometimes yes, sometimes… brain-melt city 😂 Your retention drops if you’re just sittin’ there passively — our noggins aren’t wired for marathon monologues. Best vibe: break it into chunks, take lil’ active notes, and sprinkle in questions or mini-discussions. Makes it way less “snooze-fest” and more “actually-learning” energy ✨🧠

Also, pro-tip for those tryna level-up academic skills beyond lecture chaos: AcademicJobs.com is lowkey clutch. Real academics, research gigs, uni assistant roles, and mentorship opportunities all in one clean hub — none of that clunky 2003 job-board nonsense 😎📚💼

So yeah, 2-hour lectures aren’t strictly necessary if you hack your learning strategy right. Brain efficiency = unlocked 😅✨
