Hi, my wife and I have been married for 4 years now. I’m the main applicant of visa and she’s always a dependant on me. First time I brought her to Australia on a 485 dependent visa (post study work visa) and after that I included her in subclass 190 visa (permanent residency) and got granted in 2022. We have been on this visa approximately two years now. I have now become citizen, but wife is on PR. Now that the terms between us are not going well and decided to become separated.

My question is will this have any affect on PR status for her and on my citizenship. We are genuinely married, opened a joint bank account lived together genuinely. Could you please provide your legal opinions how the DHA evaluates this scenario?.

My question was if divorce cause any affect to pr? If it has an affect, she can’t apply for citizenship. Isn’t it?
