I have just been employed in a new role which requires a current working with children check. However, my working with children check has expired. Because I'm unable to reach them until the morning, I'm hoping someone here on this forum can help with the answer, as I am to start this role Friday.

My question is: How long will it take to get a new check? And I can't seem to clearly differentiate from the site whether I need to apply for a whole new card, as I can't be found on the register.

It seems that my 2 options are: renew my check, or lodge a new application, but I'm unsure which to do.

Thanks in advance for any feedback and the time taken to reply. I'm very grateful.
