If someone forwards a photo that was originally sent to them willingly, is that actually illegal in Queensland?

So if someone's ex sent them some photos when they were together, totally voluntarily, no pressure at all — and then after they broke up, that person showed the photo to a mate while venting about the breakup. Someone told them they could actually get in trouble for that legally. Is that true? Does it only count as illegal if you post it publicly or send it to heaps of people to embarrass them? Does just showing one person count? What are the actual laws around this in Queensland and how serious is it really?
