My son broke my nose when I was forced to intervene in a physical attack on his then-girlfriend.

I didn't go to the police or lay charges as he said he would pay to have it fixed when he came into his inheritance, which happens in 2 weeks time. He is now saying that he won't.

This happened in December of 2014. Is it too late to go to the police with photos & his ex girlfiend in order to seek compensation so I can get it done & not have to see it in the mirror each day?

Too late to go to the cops? you could try...
They might want to know why you waited. They might investigate, they might even charge him... Chance of you getting compensation? not worth the effort.
