My mumber plate was stolen, i reported it and was waiting for replacements, i was driving the car with the correct rego number written on an a4 sheet and pasted to the back of my car, i was stopped by police and charged with section 36(2)(e) road traffic administration act 2008, which concerns replica or forged number plates. Can some one here kindly provide me with info concerning.
1) expected penalty
2) will i get a criminal record
3) any viable options
I do not have any existing criminal record and this is the first time i have been summoned to court. Any help would be highly appreciated, thanks.
