I've had my probationary drivers licence for 6 months now, haven't had an incident until now. Driving with a friend, we floored it down a open straight Street with a speed limit of 50. I was going around 120 when I noticed a flash. It may have been the street light or it was a mobile speed camera still not sure. If I was caught, what fine should I be expecting under Traffic Law? And what are my options to appeal?

70 k's over. If they just issue a penalty notice $758 fines, 10 demerit points, and either a 6 or 12 month licence suspension (can't recall which it is). They may decide that a P/notice for that speed is insufficient and you may find yourself with charges to go to court for speed dangerous.

Wait and see if you get somethnig first and then worry about what you can do, no point worrying about it yet.
