A close friend's partner is blocking me from getting information about his condition in hospital. He is on life support and I am not being allowed to see him. I also cannot find out his condition - whether he's improving, even whether he's dead or alive. Can I challenge the partner's authority to get some information about my friend - ideally, can I overturn the blockage on me seeing him? I was the last person to spend time with him before he went to hospital.
