TAS Multiple ABN's?

Hi everyone, I would like to know if I am in a business partnership, do I need to get a second ABN to start up a new business or do I use the same ABN? We ( my spouse and I ), have an arborist business, and I would like to start up ( independently ) a print on demand store online that sells tshirts etc. Am I able to have two ABNs? I would be operating as a sole trader for online store.

Yes, get another ABN, you need it as the 'owners' are different.

Make sure you have written permission in advance from your spouse. If the relationship falters, they could come after you for neglecting the arborist business and claim damages from you.
