Hello
Thank you for providing this valuable service, much appreciated.

I have been looking at a website called getoutofdebtfree that claims various debts are not valid, as they are not based on real money and other questionable logic. In the forums there are many people who have successfully used the system consisting of a series of letters and copyrighting your name, to invalidate credit card debts, also citing Australian consumer law, implying the credit card debt is fraudulent to begin with.

Wondering the legitimacy of this and if their claims are true?
Whatever other appropriate comments would be appreciated, thanks very much :)

Hi Buckweet,

You need to give a specific example. Is there a particular situation that you are in that you need help with such as credit card debt? The usual way to limit liability to personal debt is to declare bankruptcy. In declaring bankruptcy often some debt is wiped however it also accompanied by restrictions on loan applications etc. Bankruptcy — Australian Financial Security Authority
There are also some firms that claim to be able to help people manage their debt, freeze repayments and so forth. They are called debt or credit mediators/ negotiators.
However there isn't a "get out of gaol free" pass with (legally valid) debt if that is what you're asking.
