Good Morning,

I need some advice on what type of lawyer I require, and what course of action I need to undertake.

I have been charged with commit public nuisance and obstruct police.
I was asleep in a hotel room when my friend whom I had just taken out to dinner, had thrown water on me and tried to force herself on to me, She is a quite large woman and wouldn't let me leave the room, a struggle ensued and i broke free and in a panic ran from the room, and into the street, I was intoxicated, extremely frightened and in shock, the police showed up and they refused to help me and were leaving the scene. I became agitated and demanded that they arrest me, so they did. I wish to gather evidence from the cctv cameras in the hotel and fight the charges.

Thank you.

You were arrested at your own request?
That's very, very unusual indeed.

To answer your question - you need a lawyer who works in criminal law.

If you asked to be arrested do a mental health application. Section 32 in nsw. Do not what in qld.
