The police have charged me with 2 charges for assault.

1st charge is armed with garden hoe with intent to commit indictable offence
2nd is stalk & intimidate intend fear of physical or mental harm

no one got hurt, nothing happened. i just hurled threats at him
to repel him
due to been enraged & i got a garden hoe in self defence
& sat on the fence to see wehere he was & what he was going to
do next.
this man has threatened/intimidated my mother with a chainsaw in the
past but my mother did not report him to police & his wife has physically
& verbally assualted my elderly mother in the past.
His wife was taken to court but got off lightly with just a 1 year AVO.

its a long 15 years dispute with this neighbor.

this neighbor stalked me in the backyard & took the
opportunity when i wasn't looking by throwing an object,
a Lemon, onto my back when i was gardening.

i was startled by his face looking down at me over the fence
& thought he was about to strike me as we have a high 1.8 metre
boundary fence between our properties & didn't know what
he was about to do next.

he also caught me on his mobile phone video sitting on the fence
with the garden hoe & verbally threatening him.

i have no criminal record.

what are my chances in court with this defending the 2 charges.
