If a mother was a victim of sexual assault and she changed her mind and wanted a relationship with her child with DHS ( Human Services) approval. The social worker recommended she get Centrelink disability pension due to rape and domestic violence. Would her relationship with her child affect, interfere or jeopardise her getting the pension?

    Hi MizzCarmen,

I am assuming from the facts you have provided above that the person was raped, became pregnant, had the child and then put it up for adoption, but now wants to have a relationship with that child after having received advice that she should get a disability pension? I cannot see any reason why she would lose a disability pension.
