So last night when taking off from a set of lights I took off a little too enthusiastically in my old commodore Ute. Which cause the rear wheels to loose traction.
Shortly after a police car pulled up after me, mentioned the incident.
I said it was unintentional.
They took my details, did the whole breath and drug test thing.
Then they said they were going to impound the car and I'll get a summons in the post about the incident.
Since then I've been reading up on traffic laws
And it seems that loss of traction is what they call a tier 2 offence, but on the impound sheet he wrote it as a tier 1 offense
And it seems to me a tier 2 offence isn't something they can impound the car for
What should I do?
