Hi, I’ve been issued a 60i Cert & are waiting to be served papers for family court - I’ve been waiting nearly 3 wks now for the papers. During this time, I’ve been given (by a solicitor) court date, place & judge name. How can they confirm details before I’m even served the papers? When the papers are served, I have to put in a request for change date, time & venue; and also want to add an application for orders to it.

How can they confirm details before I’m even served the papers? Call the Brisbane Family Court Registry and they will tell you when the matter is next listed.

I have to put in a request for change date, time & venue Do you have a good reason to ?

and also want to add an application for orders to it. Yes, standard practice.

You mentioned a solicitor, are you being represented by them in these proceedings? If so, they will take care of all of this for you.
