NSW Sued After 20 Years Already Served Time

Commited a bad grevious bodly harm offence 20 years ago Already serverd a long stint in jail
now I just recieved a letter from state revenu saying I have to pay compensation to the victim
Is this right? Can they do this after 20 years

Please help

Would need more information. Are you sure it's the State Revenue Office sending you this? What exactly does the letter say?

Was there a compensation claim made against you back around the time of your case? Or did the victim take civil action against you afterwards?
