My wife and I separated around 7 months ago (separation). We have 4 children under 12,. I'm a lecturer and she owns 2 businesses. We own a house which was "donated" to us by her father but both of our names are on the title deed. And this is where it gets sticky... She seems under the impression that, since the house was bought by her father, I do not have any rights as far as having a fair share (property settlement). I'd like to stress that as well as working full time I look after the kids the most. I'm not a greedy man but I'm pretty sure my ex shouldn't be entitled to a 7 bedrooms property.
