We own nearly all our house and recently bought an investment. I've paid for probably 70% of all bills for the last 7 years or so. After separation, is she entitled to half in a property settlement?

There is no set formula for asset split. Usually it comes down to negotiation and if no arrangement can be agreed upon it will go to a hearing (but that can be costly). You should remember that the contribution that each party makes to an asset pool isn't decided on financial contribution alone. To give a stereotypical and dated example, a housewife who has looked after the house, done the at-home chores and supported her husband's career (and where relevant raised children) will be seen to have still contributed to the asset pool, even if she didn't directly put money into it.
