NSW Right of criminal records of witnesses for accused

What is the current position on this?

Should you be given access?

Why are you saying 'accused' if the matter is a civil matter? Normally use witnesses for the plaintiff or witnesses for the defendant.

Attacking the credibility of witnesses is allowed but you'd likely need to convince the court of the relevance before getting a subpoena.
