My wife and I have recently moved to SA from the UK. In the UK we owned a business that we originally set up in 1985. We recently formed a new Pty Ltd company here in SA and intend to set up this new business carrying on the same construction services we provided in the UK.
My question is, can we market the business and say the business was "established in 1985" all be it in another country and under another name, or is this misleading under Australian law?
Would it better to say "contractors since 1985"?
