Hi,
I purchased my Holden Cruze in June 2013 with a 5-year warranty.
Since day one, I have had issues. I have a detailed list somewhere, but the ones I can remember off the top of my head are:
1. Day 1, Passenger window won't go up.
2. Significant rattling from windshield, unit behind mirror was replaced (no explanation given).
3. Four broken keys due to faulty design/manufacture (They contested this and said they were only doing it to help me out but wrote on the paperwork that it was a fault with manufacturing).
4. Front left wheel hub cracked, the belief is that there was an imperfection with the metal.
5. Bluetooth not working correctly, whole radio/Bluetooth unit replace.
6. Significant rattling from roof. Light fixture plastic had deteriorated and broken apart.
7. Continual transmission issues, reset module several times over 12 months and finally got angry enough for them to replace the transmission.
8. Coil pack failure leaving me stranded, was replaced.
9. Internal heating/cooling fan rattling due to cracked bearing, was replaced.
I know there is more, I just can't remember all of it
As you can see there has been a significant amount of work on the car and I have been in so often over the last few years that the guys there know my by name
I know that they have to fix things under warranty which they are doing (Sometimes it takes legal threats to make this happen). But my concern is the amount of time I continue to waste with them having the car for sometimes days at a time. I am also concerned that I will continue to have problems after the warranty is up
This car has been the biggest regret of my life and I wish I could just get rid of it, but I have finance so am stuck with it
What are my Australia Consumer Law rights in this situation? I don't want to keep going in every few weeks for something else that is broken.
