VIC Minor Left at Home Alone - Mental Health Concern?

Hi,

It's been brought to my attention that a 14-year-old girl was left at home alone for 7 days while her mum and elder sister went holidaying in Qld. The mum then sent her eldest on a flight home while she stayed in Qld longer.

This is a regular occurrence she has neglected these girls on and off their entire life. I am worried about the mental health and safety of those girls. The youngest (14) hasn't been to school at all this year.

What is the law regarding this?

Thanks sammy. I have had my daughter all this week and didn't want to drag her along so will have to wait til she's back at school.
