Hello, I was just wondering who does the magistrate represent in an Australian Magistrates Court and who do the prosecution represent in the same court?
Thank you for your reply in advance.

The prosecutor represents the State and on behalf of the State will try to show to the court that the defendant committed an offense as charged. The magistrate as a member of the judiciary will hear evidence in local courts and must try to ensure justice is administered fairly
