Hello,

I was standing in a queue for one of the establishments in King's cross, and left the queue prior to entering the establishment (did not enter, nor purchase anything from the premises).

Then i was standing by the curb (on the street), approximately 5+ meters away from the actual entrance, away from passerbys but was informed by one of the venue bouncers that it was illegal for me to stand on the street near the licensed venue regardless of whether i had previously entered the venue or not. Can someone please let me know what this law is to prevent me from standing on the street whereever i want especially when I had not been in the venue it self?

I was not smoking so the 4-metre law would not apply anyway regardless of the distance.

Thanks
