spend your money on family law. Get your application in ASAP. Forget any more mediation. Get to family court. Let her respond to your application with the list of demands you mentioned above. Especially sole parental responsibility, will get laughed out of court.

AVO? look, don't spend money on this. Self Represent. My thinking is accepting without admission suxs but it means you can put your efforts into what matters, which is getting time with the kid. But you can self represent and challenge the avo. BUT the problem here is the laws are a joke. You as a self reper can't ask the ex questions because she needs to be 'protected' It is insane that the accused isn't even allowed to question their accuser. So we're back to square one. Spend money on a solicitor to defend the thing or just accept without admission.

That said, given she is the applicant and not the cops, I'd be inclined to give self representation a go. BUT you might find if you accept without admission she might be a little less pissed off than if you challenge it.

In short no good advice, just some random thoughts on the pros and con's of both ways of looking at this nonsense.
