My car was hit and damaged by a barricade that fell against it whilst I was exiting the car park. The wind blew it against my car and it was scratched on several panels causing $1,100 damage. There were several barricades and most had sandbags to hold them as it was very windy. The barricade that fell against my car didn't have a sandbag. The insurance company for the shopping centre is denying liability on behalf of their client.

What course of action can I take against them?

1. Taking plenty of photos before they fix the problem.
2. Go to your insurance company and see if they will take on the matter for you.
